Privacy & Cookies Policy

This policy explains how www.queergear.co.uk collects, uses, and protects your personal information and how I use cookies on this website.

What Information Is Collected?

I collect personal information when you place an online order. This includes your name, billing and delivery addresses, phone number, and email address.

How Your Information Is Used

Your data is used strictly for the purpose of completing your transaction. Your information is not used for marketing purposes, nor is it made available to third parties. Once your order is fulfilled, your personal shipping details are obfuscated from my active customer records to protect your privacy. Please note that necessary transactional records related to your purchase are securely maintained to ensure I remain compliant with UK tax and financial reporting requirements.

Payment Security

Please note: I never have access to, nor do I store, your full payment card details. All payment processing is handled securely by independent third-party payment providers.

My Cookie Policy

This website does not use any tracking, advertising, or marketing cookies. I believe in total data privacy and do not monitor your behaviour across the web.

To run my shop, this site drops exactly three essential, functional first-party session cookies. Under the GDPR, these are classified as strictly necessary to provide the service you requested, meaning they do not require an intrusive pop-up consent banner:

  • woocommerce_cart_hash & woocommerce_items_in_cart: Temporary session cookies that remember what items you add to your basket as you browse my collections.
  • wp_woocommerce_session_: A unique code generated for your browser so my server knows where to find your shopping cart data when you proceed to checkout.

These cookies expire automatically when you close your web browser and do not store any personal identity tracking records.

Form Protection & Payment Systems

When you complete a purchase, secure communication and fraud prevention tokens are handled by my payment processor, SumUp. To protect my contact and checkout forms from automated spam attacks, I utilise Cloudflare Turnstile. This service evaluates basic browser signals in the background to confirm you are a real human, operating cleanly without non-essential or invasive ad-tracking mechanics.
